Your next big opportunity is not going to just knock on your door and ask to be let in. Opportunity doesn’t knock. It hides sometimes. It doesn’t do a very good job hiding. But it’s not out there with a gigantic sash across its chest saying, I’m your opportunity, please take me. It’s really critical, especially as a creative, that you be aware of what’s going on around you. Of what hints the world is giving you. Because out of those hints out of your surroundings, you’re going to be able to figure out where the opportunities lie. So don’t wait for opportunity to knock.
